DIRECTORS
Herbert T. Ramushu – Managing Director
Herbert Ramushu is the Group Managing Director of New Reinsurance Company of Harare (Pvt) Ltd. Herbert has been in the insurance industry since 1980, Business Development Manager for Holland Insurance Company, South Africa. Spent seven years with SwissRe as Principal Officer and Managing countries of Sub-Sahara English speaking countries. He is the promoter of New Reinsurance Company.
W. Mutematsaka – Non-Executive Director
Wonder Mutematsaka is a Civil Engineer by profession and he was the General Manager of Gulliver Consolidated Ltd for twelve years before joining Edel Road Enterprises P/L t/a Matsak as Principal Engineer. He is a well known Risk Management and assessment expert in the Insurance Industry of Zimbabwe.
V.R.C Vambe – Non-Executive Director
Victor Vambe was Regional Manager for MunichRe for twenty years based in Harare and Country Manager for MunichRe Mauritius for two years before joining NewRe in 2004 as General Manager.
MANAGEMENT
R. Tungwarara
Raymond Tungwarara spent twelve years with AON Insurance Broking and Reinsurance Divisions in the technical accounts department and for the last three years he was Supervisor in charge of the department. Joined NewRe in 2004 and is an Associate of the IIZ.
A. Musuka
Ashton Musuka spent ten years with Lion of Zimbabwe Insurance as Sub-Saharan Accountant before joining General Accident Insurance for twelve years as Finance Manager. He then spent six years at RM Insurance as Executive Manager – Treasury and Administration department before joining NewRe in 2006 as Finance Manager.
S. Gurajena
Shedina Gurajena –
Spent two years with Momentum Insurance Brokers
as a Broker. Joined Champions Insurance as Senior
Underwriter a position she held for four years before
joining NewRe as Underwriter/ Marketer in 2007.
In 2009 she was elevated to Marketing Manager.
